A Creative Hub for Interior Architecture and Lighting Design

PinkBall Studio

Pinkball Studio, the brainchild of architect Simone Fumagalli, is a haven for creativity dedicated to transforming interior spaces with a keen focus on lighting design. Fumagalli’s journey began with a degree in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan.

Immediately immersing himself in the design world, he collaborated with Studio Matteo Thun & Partners in Milan from 1998 to 2006. This prolific period left its mark on various projects, including stores for Vodafone Italia, installations for Zucchetti Rubinetterie, Catalano Ceramiche, and Riello Caldaie, and the captivating Lighting Concept Design for Hugo Boss in Switzerland.

His passion for interior design led him to shape projects in both the residential and hospitality realms, giving life to iconic works like the Hotel Sea Side in Hamburg, the Vigilius Mountain Resort, the Hotel delle Terme di Merano, and the NHOW Hotel in Milan.

Fumagalli’s creative spirit extended to the world of product design, collaborating with illustrious brands like Fontana Arte Illuminazione, Artemide, and Zumtobel Group.

From 2006 to 2017, he actively contributed to the establishment and growth of Studio Associato Bader Fumagalli Del Monaco – Quarchatelier. His architectural expertise shone through in projects and competitions, including the garden lighting for Club Med in Oman and the hospitality spaces of the majestic Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna.

He has created numerous retail outlets for brands like Nuncas and Rosso Prezioso, and contributed to the design of installations for Pirelli Tyres and Eurorepar. His innovative lighting design projects for brands like Diego Dolcini, Twin Set, and Marras further solidified his mark in the industry. Fumagalli’s ingenuity extended to office spaces, showcasing his talent in projects like the Beiersdorf Headquarters in Milan and the Gabesco Coffee Trading offices.

Over the years, alongside Marina Del Monaco, he continued to experiment in the field of design, creating and producing unique products like the porcelain decorative lamp “c’est chouette” from Faenza. In 2017, Fumagalli’s passion led him to establish Pinkball Studio, where he wholeheartedly dedicates himself to interior lighting and architectural design.

Among his recent works are captivating lighting design projects for residential and hospitality spaces, including the Amplification of the Merano Terme. He has also contributed to creating lighting concepts for retail spaces like Liviana Conti and the new Bosco di Ciliegi Store in Moscow at the GUM department store. Fumagalli’s signature extends to office architecture projects, such as the Generali Agency in Corso Magenta in Milan and private residences in Milan’s Via Nievo.

Pinkball Studio stands as a testament to Fumagalli’s unwavering passion for transforming spaces through the interplay of light and design, leaving an indelible mark on the world of interior architecture.
