Schonbrunn

Competition for the design of the entrance, ticket office, gift shop, and restaurants of the Schönbrunn Palace Museum in Vienna.
Spaces conceived as thresholds, a membrane separating the museum's interior spaces from the external gardens.
A passage filter between inside and outside.
We sought the archetypes of Schönbrunn, discovering them in the rows of tree-lined avenues in the gardens and in the painted decorations of the palace's rooms; we took them, studied them, and synthesized them, transforming them into set-up and figurative elements that generate a new compositional landscape.
